Minor Hotels has signed an agreement with Sobha Al Siniya FZC for an Anantara resort and branded residences on Siniya Island in Umm Al Quwain. The company announced the project on 6 October 2026.
The plan comprises 125 hotel keys and 125 branded residences under the name Anantara Residences Sobha Siniya Island. Minor Hotels lists 2030 as the scheduled opening year.
A resort and residences in one plan
The development will bring the Anantara brand to Umm Al Quwain. It joins a pipeline in which Minor Hotels has also announced Anantara resort-and-residence projects for other markets with 2030 opening dates.
The hotel and residences place short stays and private ownership within the same planned destination. The announcement identifies the unit counts, brand, development partner, emirate and target opening year; operating details will follow as the project advances.
Future UAE hospitality supply
Siniya Island sits off the coast of Umm Al Quwain, adding a northern-emirate location to Anantara’s UAE portfolio. The announcement concerns future supply and does not add the 250 planned units to current operating inventory.
The next milestones will be the project’s development stages ahead of the scheduled 2030 opening on Siniya Island.
